It looks like this is really going to happen! They already had a successful rummage sale to raise funds for incorporation etc. and this is going to be the "real" thing, not just another market that will fold after a few weeks.
While I would love to sell some of my produce in Kingman, I can't afford the 60 mile trip to Kingman and I definitely can't be there at 7:30 am (open at 8 am) as is the current plan. When I had the farmstand in Meadview I was in my hoophouse picking and washing salad at 6 or 7 am and I only had to drive a few miles to get there by 9 am. It was a struggle!
In addition to the driving expense there's a $35 or $40 fee for the space and there's just no way that this would be profitable for me, don't have enough to sell, no way to keep salad cool and fresh, etc.
However, I'll definitely be SHOPPING there any time I'm in Kingman on Saturday and will try to plan my trips for Saturdays if possible.
Regular updates are supposed to be http://www.kingmanfarmersmarket.org/
